Thank you, Rotary Rotorua Sunrise, for painting our building!
In 2016 St Chads applied to the Combined Rotary Clubs of Rotorua Charitable Trust for a grant to paint their buildings. They subsequently received a generous grant from monies raised through the annual Charitable Luncheon organised by the Combined Rotary Clubs of Rotorua.
The Rotary Club of Rotorua Sunrise who have had a long association with St Chads then offered to provide the labour to paint the exterior of the buildings at St Chads as the Grant was not sufficient to cover the cost of a full repaint.
Centre Manager, Nicky Mayne says, “St Chads has always been reliant on the generosity of so many in the Rotorua community who enable us to support our members to live great lives. Ongoing support from The Rotary Club of Rotorua Sunrise and the connections they have in the wider community is hugely appreciated.”
Rachel McRae, Community Director of Rotary Rotorua Sunrise, says “the painting project has been a special opportunity for our members to come together to contribute to such a worthy organisation. We have had a long association with St Chads, and acknowledge the significant contribution the Centre makes to local families, and individuals affected by disabilities.”
