Educated at Otago University and Christchurch College of Education with post graduate study from Unitec (Educational Management) as well as Diplomas from Massey (ESOL)and Waikato Institute of Technology (ICT IN Education)
Former Deputy Principal of Rotorua Lakes High School Ali has considerable involvement in the Rotorua Community (eg Deputy chairperson Sport Bay of Plenty Trust Board) Establishment co-manager for Rotorua Teen Parent school and as a parent, holding various leadership positions in local sports and school committees.
Recent work involved working as an Education Advisor for Cognition Education, contracted to the Abu Dhabi Education Council to implement their Education reform programme and following that, as Electoral Commission Operations manager, for the Rotorua Electorate in the 2014 Elections.

Born and educated in Norway, worked as a physiotherapist in Norway, England and the Pacific, specialising in people with special needs.
Recent member of the BOP Area Health Board and Social services of the Anglican Church, currently St. Chad’s and the N Z Choral Federation.
Major interest; health, museum and music.
Hielke is passionate about people and works as a real estate agent for Harcourts in Rotorua where he is the Principal also. He brings to the board a range of skills and years of experience from the corporate world.
He is also an active Scuba Diving Instructor and is the founder of Disabled Diving Rotorua (ddirotorua.org), which provides people with disabilities with the opportunity to experience Scuba Diving in a pool environment.
When he’s not working, Hielke loves the outdoors and is often mountainbiking, fishing, scuba diving and camping.
Janet Wepa has been a Trustee of St Chads for over six years. She is married to Matthew and is a mother of five adult daughters and twelve grandchildren. Janet has been an elected member on the Rotorua Lakes Council for the past twelve years.
Rick Mansell is a Trustee for St. Chads, Linton Park Community Trust, Rotorua Arts Centre and is a member of Keep Rotorua Beautiful. He has four children and two step sons who all live in New Zealand. He has lived in many places in New Zealand and around the world but is originally a Canadian.
Tess Thorne has been a St Chads Trustee since 2011. She is married to Gary and has two sons, Mario and James, and have been living in Rotorua for the last 22 years. She is also a Trustee of John Paul College and a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors.
Tess has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines, and an Associate member of CPA Australia. She currently works as a senior finance executive at Te Puia and prior to that, held other financial management and consultant positions for multinational companies both in New Zealand and the Philippines.
Hi, I’m Tups Wright. I have been associated with St Chads since about 1994 and have been on the St Chads Trust for the majority of that time. I am a parent of Kris who is a client there. I am passionate about the ongoing community support of the centre and the development and wellbeing of the clients.
